Description
Tonalite is very similar to granite in its properties. Like granite, tonalite is a very hard and durable deep rock and is suitable for the same applications.
Tonalite takes its name from the Tonale Pass in Trentino, where larger deposits of this natural stone can be found.
Here in South Tyrol, this stone is quarried in the Ahrtnal valley, where it also characterises the landscape.
Use
This natural stone is particularly suitable for massive outdoor staircases, stone flooring outdoors and indoors, kitchen worktops, stone fountains, individual gravestones.
