Description

This South Tyrolean marble is characterised above all by its large crystalline structure. The marbling and structure of the Passeier marble corresponds to that of the Sterzinger marble, which is better known by its name. This is why Passeier marble is often used instead of Sterzing marble in restoration work.
Due to the relatively slow cooling during the formation of this material, the crystals had time to grow. The individual crystals of this marble become particularly visible, almost tangible, when the surface is polished. In combination with its white colour, this structure makes it a very noble material.
This is why Passeir marble is a highly sought-after material among sculptors, but it is also excellently suited for sophisticated interior design.
