Description

The miracle of Tramin.
The Tramin dolomite was brought down by a rockfall in February 2014. The rock masses came loose about 100 metres above the Freisingerhof. During the fall, the rock split into 2 large boulders. One colossus rolled over the farm building. The other part miraculously came to a halt one metre in front of the residential building.
We cut all the material on site into transportable blocks with our mobile diamond wire saw. Afterwards, the blocks of rock were brought to us in Terlan.
Now we can use this material for interior designs (kitchen worktops, floors, bathroom designs).
Dolomite in general is a limestone composed purely of fossils (sedimented skeletons of inhabitants of the primordial oceans). The Traminer dolomite was formed about 220 million years ago.

The Traminer dolomite was cut into transportable blocks (block weight approx. 25 t.) on site, i.e. directly at the crash site, and is now stored in Terlan.

Use

The stonemason recommends this stone for bathrooms, stone floors, stairs, applications especially in the interior.
